Here at Aletheia, we are passionate about kids knowing and experiencing the love of Christ. We believe God has given parents the joy and primary responsibility of pointing their children to the Gospel—the good news that Jesus loves and saves sinners. And we believe the church comes alongside parents and caregivers with love, support, accountability, prayer, training and teaching. We desire to partner with you and to be a resource for you as you disciple your children!
In our preschool classrooms, your children will learn Six Foundational Truths—God is Good, God Made Everything, God is in Charge of Everything, Jesus Came to Save Sinners, God Wants to Talk With Us, and The Church is God’s Family. Each week, your children will focus on one of these truths through teaching, discussion, worship and activities.
In our elementary classrooms, your children will learn the Attributes of God and the Names of God. They will have their own worship time, teaching time, small group discussion and an activity reinforcing the attribute or name they are focusing on that week.
We pray this ministry blesses your family as we seek to point your children to Jesus! Below is a little general information about Aletheia Jr. and more specific information about our classrooms. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out! You can email us at aletheiajr@aletheiatampa.com
OUR MISSION
The mission of Aletheia Jr. is for the coming generation to know and experience the love of Christ. We do this by coming alongside parents proclaiming who God is and what He has done.
FIRST TIME GUEST INFORMATION
register your children for sunday morning by clicking here!
(Registering your child early will ensure a quicker check-in experience for you on Sunday morning.)
Curriculum
Our preschoolers learn from The Village Church’s Six Foundational Truths curriculum focusing on one truth each week (God is Good, God Made Everything, God is in Charge of Everything, Jesus Came to Save Sinners, God Wants to Talk With Us, and The Church is God’s Family).
Our elementary aged kids learn from the Attributes of God for Kids curriculum by Lydia White as well as from the God’s Names devotional written by Sally Michael.
compassion
We partner with Compassion International to sponsor three children. The children learn about these three children and what life is like for them. At times, they write letters to them and pray for them.
Check-In Procedures
When you arrive you will receive a check-in tag and security stickers from our family greeting station. Your child will not be permitted into the classroom without a check-in tag. You may take a photo of the security sticker to show the classroom manager upon picking up your child.
THE STICKERS SERVE TWO PURPOSES
CHILD SAFETY: You must present your portion of the security sticker or show the photo of the security sticker on your phone before we release your child at pick up. This ensures the highest level of safety for your children.
FOOD ALLERGIES: Each sticker provides information about any food allergy your child may have.
Children may be dropped off 10 minutes prior to the service and need to be picked up by 10 minutes after the service.
Classroom Safety
We require all of our teachers and leaders to be interviewed, recommended, trained and screened.
We do not allow teachers to be alone with the children.
If we need to contact you during the service we will text you.
Adults are not to enter the classroom without first being approved by the Aletheia Jr Director.
We do not permit outside food or drink to enter the classrooms.
Health & Wellness
Our children and teachers must be free from fever or symptoms of contagious disease for 72 hours before being admitted into the classroom which may include but are not limited to, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, chills, rashes, or fatigue. Please keep your children at home if they have diarrhea. We ask that you let the classroom teachers know of any ailments or recent illnesses that may help with the care of your child (teething, recently sick, etc.)
Please let us know of any allergies or medical conditions that your child may have. If your child does have a food allergy, we will have you complete an allergy information form and we will designate it on his or her security sticker.
OUR CLASSROOMS
SIX MONTHS to THREE YEARS OLD
This classroom is designed to serve children between the ages of six months and three years old. We are eager and excited to introduce Jesus with age appropriate activities to these little ones!
THREES, FOURS, FIVES, AND KINDERGARTENERS
While your preschoolers and kindergarteners are in our care, they will have their own worship time, be taught from God’s word about one of the Six Foundational Truths, have small group discussion, and an activity reinforcing the truth for the day. We have a monthly memory verse challenge: if your children can say or sing the verse, they receive a reward because we want them to remember that God’s word is sweet!
first through fifth graders
While your elementary children are with us, they will have their own worship service in which they will sing and hear teaching from God’s Word about one of His attributes or names. They will have small group discussions and prayer as well as activities to reinforce the teaching of the day. We have a monthly memory verse challenge: if your children can say or sing the verse, they receive a reward because we want them to remember that God’s word is sweet! The elementary classroom currently meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. We have Kids' Notes guides available for pick up that they can use with the sermon on the other weeks of the month.
