Prayer for the Parents to Pray

Father,

As we begin a new school year, it is such a wonderful reminder of what you have called us to as parents. Forgive us for the times we have lost sight of what you want us doing

in the lives of our kids. Forgive us for our

lack of worship of you. Would you open our eyes to the glorious deeds you are doing now, and the wonders you have done already? Would you give us energy, excitement, creativity, and conviction to share those things with our children? Would you use the truths

we share and the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of our children so they would set their hope in you? Would our family trust in, wait for, and desire you more this year?

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
